1988 Football Team Reunion to be held Oct. 10th at 5:30 in cafeteria

TCHS SEEKING FORMER PLAYERS FOR 1988 TEAM REUNION PRIOR TO HUEYTOWN GAME

NORTHPORT (Sept. 3, 2008) – Tuscaloosa County High School is seeking former players from its 11-1 1988 team for a team reunion planned for Friday, Oct. 10th. The school will honor the team prior to the TCHS-Hueytown football game at Wildcat Stadium. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

The reunion is open to all former players from the Jimmy Norrell era and will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Norrell, now a teacher at Niceville (Fla.) High School, led the Wildcats from 1987-90 posting a 30-12 record over four seasons. The '88 team completed the school's first undefeated regular season since 1946, won the area championship and was 11-0 and ranked second in the state before being upset at Anniston in the second round of the state playoffs.
