There are a couple of different ways of doing so, but the easiest is to add it as an attachment.

To do so when you are posting click the "additional options" link near the bottom of the post box.
You will see several options, but click the "browse" button and browse to the picture you want to attach.
Then simply hit post and your picture will be attached to your post and will show as a clickable thumbnail.
